Cusco is situated at the foothills of the Andes on the east side of the valley of the Huatanay river runoff into the Amazon River. After arriving at the airport of Cusco we leave for our hotel. Central
Cusco our trail starts on the track of the Inca and vroere civilizations that have made their home in this part of the world. We move in the foothills of the Andes, besides the interesting history of the area, we are always greeted with wonderful scenery.
Take a city tour and visit a few of the interesting places of the Incas. Late afternoon return to the hotel and visit typical restaurant with folklore music of the area. Everybody participates in the dance and music. So take your harmonica.
Morning after breakfast departure by tourist train to Machu Pichu the lost city. About 110 km from Cusco. We move to the foot of the mountain where the Lost City, Aguas caliente or hot water. It's a small town and from here we go with `` a guided tour up the mountain to the fortress to all the different buildings built by the Incas was watching. Here are their temples, banner palaces, terraces and other geboue.Gebou stone without mortar. Late afternoon we depart back to Cusco by train. Overnight in Cusco. After lunch we go on a short cruise on the groor river running past our camp to a lake where a great variety can be seen watervoels. Including the hoatzin a primitive feel, the Black Caiman and other species. Back at camp we get ready for our last night here in the Amazon jungle.
Early to get up early today. We pack all our stuff on the boat and getting ready for our return trip to Cusco. After a few minutes on the river we stop along a clay embankment. Here we see a colorful and noisy spectacle where a variety of parrots supplement their diet with salts and minerals in the clay. We go on to the port Atalaya where we get our vehicle which takes us back to Cusco. On the way we see the beautiful area and late afternoon we arrive at our hotel in Cusco.

banner Our hotel is really within walking distance of many attractions and places of entertainment. It's very safe to move around and near excellent restaurants and eetplekkies or supermercados where you can buy anything like Pick and Pay. The famous Florida street near the hotel.
